This is Miss Millie Angel. She was a true feral dog, living wild on the streets before being trapped and adopted by us in

We have always wondered what breeds Millie is and now we are going to be able to find out for sure! There is a new
test that can determine the heritage of a dog using its DNA! How exciting is that??? They have only mapped 38 breeds
so, as I understand it, if the dog is made of an unmapped breed, the test will pick the breed farther back that the DNA

We decided to hold a raffle and let people donate money to guess what breeds they think Millie is. The money will go to
the shelter where we adopted Millie. It is all for fun and to raise money for the shelter that took such great care of Millie
while they waited for the right owners (us :).

Here's how it all works:
You send $5.00 to make a guess. Just click on the PayPal button at the bottom of this page. PayPal is a secure site
that will handle the money. Through PayPal, you can use your bank, a check or a credit card.
100% of the money will go to the Lewis County Shelter! Lewis COunty Washington animals were
hit very hard by the horrible floods this past December so they can really use the help now.
You will be awarded 1 point for every breed you guess correctly and 2 points will be deducted for every breed guess
that is incorrect. It is that simple.
The winner(s) will be announced the middle of June 2008.
Take a good look at Miss Millie's photos and give it your best guest!
You can enter as many times as you like! The more you enter, the more money goes to the shelter.

NEWS FLASH!!!
The first test we did on Millie was inconclusive. We did a second test using a different
DNA facility www.wisdompanel.com and got better results. We now have a good idea of
the breeds that make up the bulk of Millie's heritage and here are the results:
Australian Shepherd, Chow Chow, Collie, German Shepherd Dog and
Norwegian Elkhound. There were more breeds but the DNA was too
weak to identify or perhaps there is a little coyote or wolf in there as well.
The winner is!!!!!!
